Today it is my turn to share the happiness of the I485 approval.
I started my processing in May 1999 (EB3)and it took 26 months. Though I came to know about this
discussion group only couple months back, it has been really helpful since then. I also contributed
a few thoughts with my limited knowledge. Thank you guys.
I haven\'t called an IIO or checked the AVM in this whole period, mainly because I was hopless.
To my surprise I received the original approval notice in the mail yesterday. Then I checked the AVM,
it still plays the old message and I didn\'t care. But one thing I did was, since I started hearing about
a lot of approvals lately, some cases with out any problem and some cases with complications,
I started praying that to get a good officer in good mood to process my application. I think I got an
answer to my prayer. But this is not the end. I sent my wife\'s application only 3 weeks back and
am still waiting for the receipt notice. I am waiting on my lawyer to see what he has to say.
Thank you once again guys and thank you for being here to share my joy.
My details are
PD 5/19/1999
RD 3/23/2000
ND 3/27/2000
FP 4/12/2001
AD 7/2/2001.
One thing I noticed in the approval notice is that it says the receipt date as my ND.
So I hope they process based on ND.
I am planning to go to Milwaukee INS office on thursday to get my passport stamped.
I have updated the tracker also.
