I485 approved , need stamping details

I have a Dallas INS address

Unlike yours , I am supposed to go to Dallas address.
Everything else is pretty much the same.

       got this approval after a long time.
lot of things had happened and i went thro\' lots of stuff before this god sent approval notice.
so i really don\'t know how to react!!
my heart felt wishes to all if them who are waiting for their approval.

The wording of the notice implies that you don\'t need to go for stamping

They already have pictures, does it just take longer to issue the cards if you don\'t get the temporary stamp.
 
they order plastic card using the photos provided at passport stamping.

so without passport stamping, you will not get the plastic card.

Went for stamping in Dallas on 06/07/02.
Everything went smoothly and got stamped no questions asked.
Went to INS at around 4.00 am and was let in at 6.45 am.
There was some problem with the automated token system and it never called any of the I485 approved guys who came for stamping until 11.45 am!!
Well there was no hassle for me to wait since I have waited for almost 5 years for this moment.
SO just sat there watching "Space Jam" , "Back to the Future" and almost half of " Return of the Jedi".
Eventually I my number came in at aroung 12.15pm and a friendly IIO stamped my passport with no questions asked!!
