I485 Approved - Mariiage took after the approval but before stamping

Hello All,

    Is there a way i can include my wife with the same application since i did n\'t get stamped . According to the law it says that before u become Legal Permanent Residence u go to get married since approval does n\'t say thet u are Legal Permanent Residence once u get stamped only. Please give me some inputs anybody facing the same problem or any sujestions please.

I think the date you get approved is the date you are a legal pemanent resident. When u go for stamping i think they say that you are legal permanent resident since "xxxxx" your 485-approval date. I am not sure about this but read it someplace either on this board or isn.org a while back.

It is not possible to file a GC under DERIVATIVE BENEFICIARY category after getting the approval of the primary beneficary application.
It does not matter whether you did stamping or not.
Stamping is
 like a VISA after H1 visa approval notice.(You can work if you have a H-1 approved)
The new application will not be entertained by INS after approving the
primary beneficiary application.You have to file her GC under family based prefereneces

I think still you can include your spouse before pp stamping. Few have done it . See their details at this forume .

Search for ramkison , hellohi , princess and gv10 userids. You will get all info what you need .
