I485 Approval: Does the Country of Origin matter?

I am from a country with very low immigration rate to the United States and have filed I-485 (PD 11/99, RD 5/01, ND 5/01). EB2

Does any one have an idea if some countries might get faster approvals based on very low number of applicants compared to high volume countries like India and China?

I will appreciate any useful information.

No, it also doesn\'t matter.

Unless there is a priority date involved, it doesn\'t matter which EB category you are in. Current approvals showed some EB2 cases faster than EB3 cases. This is mainly due to the retrogression of priority date during 1999 and 2000. When the priority date started to become current again, EB2 became current much earlier than EB3 did. So, they came into processing queue much earlier. That is why you see the difference now. But, for the 2001 cases, since they are all current, there should be no difference.
