I485 application

My 485 application has been pending for about 4 months now and I do not have access to my A number with which I would have been able to track the status of my application at the following website:

https://egov.ins.usdoj.gov/graphics/cris/jsps/caseStat.jsp

My company is not giving employees access to their A numbers.

The questions I have are the following:

1. I thought once you get to the 485 stage the application becomes a property of the employee. So, is there a reason for the employers to withhold these A-numbers?

2. Does the information contained in the above website useful and uptodate?

Thanks and Best Regards -Nipster

Can check the status with the EAC number

You do not need the A# to check the status online. If you have the I485 EAC number you can check the status by going to the INS site. (You already have the link).

Well the company should give you your A#. This number is also printed on the EAD card.

485 at TSC

I don't have the EAC # either. All the approvals and receipts go the employer and does not come to me. I do not have the EAD approved yet so that does not work either.

Any other ideas? Is this website uptodate and reliable?

Thanks -Nipster
