my previous employer has revoked the approved I-140 after more than 180 days of filing 485 since I have changed employer.
what will happend to my 485 approval??
any body faced same situation ??
please help.

I think they cannot do that after 180 days

From murthy.com it looks like employers do not have the right to revoke an approved I-140 after 180 days of filing I-485. You may go through murthy.com\'s latest chat sessions or contact your lawyer for advice.

My attorney told me that once your I-485 is pending at INS for more than 180 days, it is yours. So,

get your attorney involve into this.

They can\'t do this.

Why do we have the 180 days rule? To basically prevent lunatics
like your old company from messing up your green card process. You contact your attorney and take action against your old company. You should be fine as long as you were with your old company for 180 days after your I485 is filed. i guess you can take action against your old company for cancelling your I140 after 180 days and even claim compensation for the mental stress and agony they have caused to you. Hope everything works out for you.

my attorney

my attorney is from murthy\'s firm only.
they have faced only one similar case where I-140 was revoked and that case is still pending.
so i am like worried what is gonna happen, since the attorney also dosn\'t know for sure about the consequences.
I will explain my situation
I had applied for 140 in VSC and 485 in TSC.
My old company told my new attorney that they had revoked the 140 in
oct\'2001.
Now what happened is that a RFE issued to me Feb\'07 2002.
I never received it and my old attorney told my new attorney that
they also never recevied it.
But on 26th Feb `2002 , the reply to RFE was sent to TSC.
That confused me a lot . when nobody received the RFE , how did TSC
got a reply??
There might be a possibility that TSC sent a reuqest to VSC to check
on 140 and got a reply from them.
Has anybody faced a similar thing where one service centre contacting
other service centre?? Or getting an RFE and never receveint it
physically and stil the INS getting the reply?
Its so weird that Iam totally confused.
thanks for all the help.
