I181?

Long story short....married French citizen in US in 2002. Moved to France, divorced in France in 2006. Ex asked me to submit final paperwork for green card using my parents address which I chose not to do since we were already in divorce proceedings.
He kept asking me if I had sent it which I evaded. He still resides in France. Checked his receipt number from Permanent Resident Card on UCIS site which says form I181 Creation of Record of Lawful Permanent Resident. His Permanent Resident card according to my copy expired 12/09/05 but UCIS says updated 12/5/2009. Has he filed something since then or do they update frequently even though no info has changed? Also any ideas to prove his intention to deceive although I refused? thanks so much,

that is why i was trying to shorten the long story....he wants custody of our son and lawyer wants to know if he ever really intended to stay in france permanently....
so i wondered if there was an explanation or if he had sought the green card by other means before i mentioned what i had found.

i have read that there is no i 181 only 191 but site says 181.
we are in a hague proceeding right now so it is fairly urgent.
