Looks like we both are in same boat.
Iam waiting for my receipt number since 6 weeks,
My employer told me to wait for 6 to 7 weeks.
Call INS vermont office and check with them.
 
did du get u'r receipt, i have also sent in the I-1485 and it has been almost a month now and no signs of receipt ??
