I140 Receipt Number

Hi all

I filed for my I140 & 485 on 27th of Sept. Generally how long does it take to get the receipt number?

Please advice

I am looking for an answer to the same question. Did you get the receipt yet? Let me know how long it took if you got it already. Thanks for your help.

Thanks for replying. I filed I140-485 on 27th of sep. They received it on 28th of sep. and still today 19th Oct my checks are not cashed. I am worried. My lawyer say that because of lots of applications are filed in last week of sept it will take time. But I am looking for an answer how much time? I am checking with my bank twice a day whether they cashed my money or not. Please let me know your situation.

same here. I filed I-140/485 on Sep 29 USCIS received on Sep 30. I filed the petition without the origial labor approval letter since the approval letter was still in the mail
I was desperately waiting for the RECEIPT NUMBER since I need to submit the original LC corresponding to that receipt number. The deadline that I've to submit the LC is Oct 31 05. Not sure if i receive the receipt number by then.

My checks weren't cashed yet.

Checks cashed on October 18th

Hi All,

Thought this information will be helpful. My application was sent to NSC on Sept 28th( assuming recieved by 29th). My Checks were cashed in 18th and as per the LIN printed on back of the check image on the receipt date is showing as Oct 17th with LUD of Oct 19th. I guess it will take about 2 weeks or less from now to get the physical receipt to the attorney.

Again this is a case at NSC.

It is very easy find yout your receipt # provided you have the back image of the check which has been cashed recently by USCIS. The last 10 # shown amnong along with service area code (abc, efg, xyz) is your receipt no. Be happy :)
