I have seen so many great posts here. I hope someone can provide some suggestions to my situation. I am trying to get all the experience letters from my previous employers/managers. There is one potential problem:

I got laid off in year 2002 because of the recession. My previous employer paid me until end of March 2002. In May 2002, I filed a case to transfer my H-1B visa back to F-1 visa and the case got approved. Now When I tried to get the experience letter from my previous manager, she said she can either provide the end date of my job as March 2002 or as May 2002. If I use March 2002, is it possible that CIS will find out I had about two months without working for this employer? If I use May 2002, will CIS contact employer to verify the working period provided by managers?

If someone have similar situations, would you please share your experience with me? Which way should be better? Thanks very much.

May'2002 is ideal

May'2002 could be ideal, if you give it for March'2002 , they might ask what were you doing these two months.
It is only a suggestion...

Thanks very much for the suggestion! Does anyone know whether CIS will contact employer to verify the date of working if I only provide the letter from my supervisor? Thanks.
