I am just sending the document filled as per your advice and would however post my experiences after 45-60 days once if I receive my I140 approval..

Nah - sweets cannot be emailed. I will send you email ID/phone number and Picture ID after you get FOIA done.

You can run name check too before sending sweets.

P.S. Try to talk to FOIA officer in DOL where your case was processed. They will get you ETA 750 forms much faster.

Just FYI - As per my attorney an applicant wouldn't have a A# until he/she adjusts the status and thus made me leave the A# fields in 140/485/EAD.. forms blank.

You will get it in notice (from USCIS). Check that.

Even otherwise A# is not mandatory - you can get it on basis of DOB(forget what is mentioned mandatory on the form). It is helpful to have it.

A # also known as the Alein Number will be on your 485/EAD/AP/FP receipt notices and also on the approved EAD and AP. Do fill this if you have this available. It helps to fill as much information as possible.

Send it to the same service center where I-140 was filed, i.e. to the Nebraska Service Center.

Can a person keep working on W2 with someother company and start a company even before he got his I485 approved?

What are the possible pro's and con's???

on the other hand i think ppl should pay for anything other than GC,Visas immigration etc... if they want answers/suggestions
 
Today I received a letter from INS that they would charge me if the search continues in finding my file and locating it and making copies exceeds 100 pages and I might be charged close to $25.00-$50.00 for requesting FIOA.

Is that a letter that everyone received after filing FIOA? Just wanted to confirm. Also from JK, I came to know that they usually dont charge anything for sending in this information.

Has anyone paid money so far to INS for requesting FIOA?

Do we need to call the INS and inform that we are fine with the charges and that they can process the case. They have provided a control number for this reference.

Any idea on this would be appreciated.
 
Do have any updates on this issue. I did send my application(FOIA) requesting for approved I-140 and the labor a week ago.

Not yet, I am just waiting to get my documents and its almost 40 days now and I dont know how long would it take, but I know for sure that my application has reached safely to VSC.

Would update you once I get it.

Copy of LC

I would like to know if it is possible to get a copy of my approved LC from INS? My company attorney has been very uncooperative and not willing to release my LC. I want to see the specific wording on my LC and confirm that my I140 category is properly filed. This is because after RFE my I40 was denied and subsequently my case was re-opened and still pending following an appeal process.

I also applied for copy of approved LC using FOIA almost 2 months back.

Got similar kind of reply which says that the request was under "Simple Check". It is almost 6 weeks after that and I have not heard anything yet.
