I140 Approved... :)

How long does it take to receive the actual notice?

Did you receive the notice yet? How long did it take after the actual approval?

Mine was approved on 10/25/05 and haven't received the approval notice yet. Are we supposed to receive or attorney will get?

priceline/sunny - what did your status change to after approval?

I got a LUD email earlier in the week with a general message as follows
"the document we made based on the approval or registration of this case was mailed directly to the person to whom issued."

I've not been able to get any conclusive info on what this status actually means.

thanks!

This is my status after approval

This case has been approved. On October 25, 2005, an approval notice was mailed. If 14 days have passed and you have not received this notice, you may wish to verify or update your address. To update your address, please call the National Customer Service Center at (800) 375-5283.

Probably you will see the changed status in a day or two.

I - 140 approved

Hello,

my I-140 was approved two weeks ago. I filed it in May 2005 together with employment and I-485. The 485 is still pending.

Please tell me what is going to happen now and what does an approved I-140 mean? I am now at this and confused.

Thanks.

I don't know why you should be confused and what for you
must be confused :D

The next step is to wait for I485 approval and depending on
the country you are from, the approval may get delayed for months
or even for years.

In the mean time, you may want to switch to the 'I485 issues in Texas Service Center' sub-forum to see what might be on your way
(RFE etc) and be prepared yourself for those :D

Good luck.

Retrogression and I-485 after approved I-140?

Thanks for the feedback. I already went for the complete biometric checks a few weeks after I filed I-140 and 485. That was in May of this year.

I am somewhat new with this immigration and dont really understand all of if, but would appreciate feedback regarding retrogression.

I already received an alien number with my I-140 pending case.. but is that the same as a visa number? And how do I find out if a visa number is available and when? Where do I find out if I already apssed the name check?

Also what is retrogression and how does that play a role.

I am from the Slovak Republic - is that part of retrogression?

Thanks for any feedback and clarification on this.

C.

PS: Does an approved I-140 mean that my chances of getting a GC are high? No crimilar recordes etc..
