I140 approved, no change on I485 status...

Folks-
I rcvd my I-140 approval email yesterday around 8.00pm but there is no change in I-485 status (no LUD change either). Does this happen to anyone? i.e. only I-140 approval and no I-485 approval. I am really getting nervous.

Don't worry,
If you are a concurrent filer and have completed your FP, the approval is on its way. You might get emails today or tommorrow.

You may even get the approval notices in the mail without the online status changed at all.

what are your 140/485 receipt dates. when did you do FP? are you under Eb2 or EB3?
Can you please post all the above info.

Is it possible to give FP so much in advance I see your spouse had a FP date in december but gave the actual FP in Charlotte in OCT.

I have heard of people getting turned away at Charlotte

My case details...

EB3
I140 - ND 9/25/2003 - AD 10/26/2004
I485 - ND 10/28/2004 - AD pending
FP - 12/27/2003 - Recieved back on 1/6/2004

I 485 message say: "...FP were recieved and processing has resumed..."

I really hope that they will approve I-485 along. I was wondering if some one had only I-140 approval and no I485 change.

My case also happened the same way.I got only my I-140 approved not I-485.I filled on June 7th 2003 .

AD for I-140 >oct 8th 2004.
No change in I-485
FP done in Aug 2003.

Its going to expire in 1 week.God only knows what TSC is doing.

Yes it is possible. Give it a try if you want to.

I think it all depends on how busy they are at ASC. If it is too much crowded, they won't let you. We went on a Wednesday and we were there around 8:30AM. The guard asked no questions about the appt date. In fact he did not care. All he cared about is the FP Notice.

Nothing changed on my I-485 .FP received on Aug 2003.thats it.

i don't know why some case they approve simultaneously and some not.

did you contacted any congressman or senator for your approval.

No I did not contact any one. Does your FP say "recieved and processing resumed..."

I applied for I -140 and I -485 in the month of Dec 21 st 2003 as concurrent.

Unfortunately I did not receive FP notice sofar? Could you please give the suggestions what I need to do?

It has happened: I just received the magic emails for my and my wife's I485 approvals.

Now, it is my turn to wonder! My I-140 was approved day before yesterday: Oct. 25th. Can I too expect my I-485 to be approved? My Application Center is not TSC; it is CSC, and my category is EB-2. Other details include:
I-140 RD: Jan. 20, '04
I-485/I-131/I-765 RD: June 15, '04
I-131/I-765 AD: July 15, '04
FP: July 22, '04
I-485 LUD (Results of FP rec'd., and processing resumed): July 27, '04
I-140 AD: Oct. 25, '04

You are a lucky fella. You got 485 approval in 4 months. I know people to whom it took even 4 years.
 
Are you sure it is "4 months", and not "10 months & 5 days"? ;-)

Pls. look at the I-140 RD (at the top), and I-140 AD (at the bottom). In effect, the approval mentioned was only I-140.

For the (relatively recent) date that I filed my I-485, can I expect early approval? That was/is my question! :)
