I have heard that if you transfer to a new location, then you have to restart the LC and I140 again. But I have also heard that if you are transferred to a new location with a promotion, then you can continue with your original GC process and dont have to restart it again. As long as you are not changing your employer, who filed GC for you, you don't need to worry about this. You do not need to start the process again. However, you need to fill the online Change of Address request, within 10 days of your move.

Ninja, are you sure that I dont have to worry about this. Some other guys have told me that I will have to restart my GC process because a new labor certification is required for different city?
I think that's for your H-1B amendment - you must be payed equal to or greater than the prevailing wage of the new location.
