i140 amendment

Hi,
My old company got bought over by another small company 2 months back.
My i140 and 485 was filed by the old company in oct 2003 and my colleague who had filed 140 and 485 on the same day just received his approval last week.

My company is planning to file an amendment. But I have been reading forums and seeing that if the company is not a big one then there can be an RFE regarding the company's ability to pay.

But if there is an RFE about the company then we cannot respond as the old company has been sold.
Is it possible in that case, we could send the amendment as a response to the RFE? Please advise.

Also when you file an amendment does it change the original i140 and 485 receipt date? Please advise.

under which category (Eb2, eb3) was ur colleagues i-140 filed and on what i sur exact receipt date in oct?

We are in the same company. We did not send Amendment.

His cases, 140 and 485, got approved on 11/04
