Hi All,

Thanks for answering my previous questions..

I have some more doubts regarding I134/I864.

Both of us(Me and my Husband) are working.
I am the one who is applying for the GC.Our(Me and My husband's) Packet III has been sent to NVC for review.

1.Should I and my husband need to fill this form(both I134/I864)

2.If so, After we fill it, where should we get notarized from?

3.Do we need both I134 and I864 for the interview,
What does the packet IV say, do we need this?

4.Our packet III has been sent to NVC for review on August 26th.The AVM does not say that the "Packet has been received yet? What should I do ?I called NVC, the Rep said that it will take 10-15 business days to change the AVM? Is that normal?

5.I saw in the Forum that they are preponding/Postponding the Inteview dates?I also saw that they going to do the same for October?Any Idea about this?

6.When Can I expect the Interview?Any guess??

Thanks,
Sunitha

1.Should I and my husband need to fill this form(both I134/I864)
ANSWER: Technically ther eis no need for you to execute an I-134 in your husband's name since he is working. But I would advice you to execute and notarize I-134 just for formality sake.

2.If so, After we fill it, where should we get notarized from?
ANSWER: From Notary public such as bank managers. If you go to your bank they will not charge you notary fees. Make sur eyou sign the I-134 form in front of Notary public else it is not valid.

3.Do we need both I134 and I864 for the interview,
What does the packet IV say, do we need this?
ANSWER: Only I-134 since yours is employment based CP. I-864 is for family based consular process.

4.Our packet III has been sent to NVC for review on August 26th.The AVM does not say that the "Packet has been received yet? What should I do ?I called NVC, the Rep said that it will take 10-15 business days to change the AVM? Is that normal?
ANSWER: Normally NVC AVM gets updated about 2-3 weeks after P3 has been mailed ot them. So check mid next week!

5.I saw in the Forum that they are preponding/Postponding the Inteview dates?I also saw that they going to do the same for October?Any Idea about this?
ANSWER: It is not true that consulates have been changing dates around after publishing. It has happened only recently at Chennai and that too only for those folks who were earlier scheduled for 9/26/2003. I think it was an error where cp interview were scheduled on a day where the consulate was supposed to be closed. Could you tell me where it has been published that dates for october also will be rescheduled!

6.When Can I expect the Interview?Any guess??
ANSWER: In about 16 weeks (+/ - 1 week) from the time NVC acknowledges receipt of your P3. Remember we have a big holiday season coming up soon so that may add 1-2 weeks.

Affidavit of Support I-134

hi,

I have a question regarding Affidavit of Support.
I dont want to start a new thread - and want to reuse this thread for Affidavit of Support related issues.

I was filling 134 for my wife and came across this question

"9. That I have previously submitted affidavit(s) of support for the following person(s). If none, state "None.'' "

Ealrier i submitted 134 for my parents and inlaws - visitor visa - USA. Do I need to mention their names here.
There is a field called date submitted?
what does this mean - when i executed the affidavit - notarized or when they submitted the 134 at consultae for visa?

Let me know - if any one encountered similar situations.

Thanks,
RaghuDop

For that item mention the names of person(s) for whom you have
provided I-134s. Put in the date you have executed the document.

What should I do if I dont remember the date? can I just put year?

Put the month/year. If you don't remember the month also,
just put the year. There should't be any problem.
