This is my 1st post as I have only just discovered this site, a big thank you to all the contributors as I have found the site to be most usefull.

I am a UK citizen in the USA and married to a US citizen, I have applied for my green card and have sent the following documents in - I130, G325A, I485, I765, I864, & I693.

Now in Late March 2009 my mother in law is 60 and the whole family are having a party in the UK and I was hoping to attend as I am very close to my mother in law.

Am I able to send in the I131 for advance parole for this, I have read the document but am confused. I intend to be in the UK for 14 days, returning in mid April.

Any advise offered is much appreciated.

File I-131 along with I-485 receipt copy. If you have paid new revised I-485 fee of $1,010.00, then you dont need to pay I-131 filing fee of $305.00

Is this still acceptable seeing that I arrived in the USA on a visa waiver, all mjy forms were sent to the USCIS before my 90 days were up but technically I have now overstayed ?

You can send a letter explaining your situation and hope for the best. I am sure that there are people out there who have succeeded. I am also sending an I-131 for my daughter who has become illegal through my fault. Normally if you are out of status they don't like to issue an AP.
