Someone told me my 130 is not valid any more and my mom need file new i130 for me. is this true? what about priority date, everything start over? Can i just notify them my change of category and keep my original priority date?
Thanks.

When did she become a citizen? When did you get married?

Yep, you need to start all over again, unfortunately!

TheRealCanadian, Can you be more specific? How to do it?

My mom become citizen on Aug 2010. I got married on Dec 2007.

If you had married after your mother became a citizen you would have been fine. Unfortunately, you need to start over again. Mom needs to file a new I-130 and you need to wait for the FB3 dates.

Thanks a lot. Do i need to send a letter about my status changing for my previous 130, or leave it alone?
