Hi,
I am USA citizen and got married in dec at india. I apply in VSC ( Vermount Service Center) right after getting married. I mail application from india and already got receipt at my usa address.

I check processing time when i apply and it was end of oct, When i check that again, it still showing oct 29th. Look like it stuck for some reason.
I have few question.

1.> How much time VSC take to process ? My NOA receipt date is 30th dec. Please give your timeline if possible.
2.> I am going to stay more than 2 month in india. So i can apply in New Delhi ambassy.
But since i have similar application pending in VSC, Can I still apply New Delhi and then withdraw application from VSC or i need to withdraw first and then apply New Delhi?
3.> Is there any issue if i withdraw application and reapply at New Delhi consolate. Have any one done this before. Please share your exprience.

Please share your opinion/ exprience. I greatly appreciate all your response/help.

Hi VIshal,
I had applied for my wife's GC at the CA SC which got approved recently. Since my wife is here in the US we decided to do the Adj of Status in stead of consular processing.

However I did consider consular processing but in order to do consular processing I would have to file a I-824 to have it moved from CSC to the National Visa Center (NVC) which will take another 4-6 mos. Typically petitions for relatives in India are filed with NVC. You might want to call and check on the process with the VSC and NVC. Good luck.
