My father (who is a PR) has filed I130 for my sister (unmarried child over 21) in June 2002. My parents have just moved from Illinois to Massechusetts. I would like to transfer the petition from Nebraska center to the Vermont center since Massechusetts falls under Vermont center. Does this transfer affect the timing to process the petition at all? I don't want to change the address if doing so can delay the processing. Please, give me some advice on this issue. Thanks.

Hmm, weird, I'm thinking that they should have already transfered your petition because a lot of people's i-130s have been transfered out of Nebraska. The answer is yes, I think it will speed up your case. One of the reasons that USCIS gave for the transfers of i-130 petitions out of the Nebraska Service Center is because it was slower than others.

Here's a timeline for the Vermont Service Center: https://egov.immigration.gov/cris/jsps/Processtimes.jsp?SeviceCenter=Vermont

Nebraska isn't even listing times anymore for i-130s.
