I130 approved, want to file i485

I got married in July 2005 and filed for wife's GC as spouse of PR in Sept 2005. I see that the latest priority date is for Au 2005 and expect that it will move soon to September.

My question is as follows:

1. I already have the approved I 130 for her but could not file due to Visa unavailability. Once the Visa date goes to September, what proof do I need for Visa availability?

2. I am also in process of citizenship. I am scheduled for interview Oct 22nd. Incase my citizenship comes through prior, is it worth upgrading status or should I just wait a few weeks and file as spouse of PR?
 
1) nothing. If she is in the US legally, she can file for AOS.
2) it doesn't matter if she is here legally. If she is here illegally, you need to be a citizen before she can file for AOS.
