hello all
i won the dv 2010 , got my visa today me and my wife ,
my visa expires 19/04 /2010 ,
the issue is that my wife is pregnant now , and dont know what to do ,
my options are to leave now while she is pregnant so babies will born in usa ,but i dont have enough cash to cover the operation (almost 20 000$)
the second opetion is to wait till she will give birth here that would be in march 2010 and the risk to lose my visa if the embasy late to give me visa for the baby ,

they told me that they will issue me transportaion letter for the baby ,is the means i have to pay 775$ for baby and to get new passport for the baby and go through medical exam ?

pls help cuz am tottally confused

That is a difficult question...Health care isn't cheap in the US but the quality is very good...

Why don't you go now with your wife to the USA for one week and travel back...and get the baby in your home country...isn't that a good solution?

After the baby is born you can get free vacinations at the health department but for the rest all medical issues will have to be paid for by your self...so get a good health care plan....and since you won't have a credit history your car ins. etc. will all be higher so don't forget you will have to pay more than if you are longer in the USA...

Good Luck with the pregnancy:)

health plan

after entering the usa , how much agood health insurance will cost me ?
is there any way to get any kinda help in that ,like baby caring or mother care, in case i didnt found any job ?

We pay like $ 900.- every 2 months for a family of 4...with a deductible of $ 6,000.- per year!

It is expensive and pregnancies aren't incl. in the US health care ins....because they look at it that nobody needs to pay for other people who want a baby...so if you need that incl. you premium will go up a lot.

The only thing I know is that over here the health department will pay for vaccinations for children under 18.

The other question might be different in every local area and maybe you can find some one who can take care off your precious baby in return for something else...but careful who you trust...the police department is for a while now stating not to advertise you have a newborn baby or have signs in your yard, because there are crazy baby snatchers out there...I don't want to scare you but it has happened more than once.

Many day care facilities are available, more than in Europe since it is very normal for both parents to work over here....even for small babies there is day care.:), which is much saver than having a stranger...
