I'm on L2 visa status and have EAD. I also applied for H1B and my H1B has been approved. Is that mean from oct-1-2006 my L2 status is going to expire and H1 going to apply?
If no until when my L2 is valid?
If your H1 approval comes with I 94 at the bottom of H1 approval notice, then your L2 status is changed to H1 on Oct 1, 2006.
If your H1 comes without a I 94 at the bottom, your status continue to be L2 unless you go out of US and get your H1 visa stamped in your passport to get your L2 changed to H1. Untill then you are in L2 only.
