Hi guys ,
I've played the lottery for about 11 years , since I was 16 years , in high school .. , I've won this year DV2012 , Egypt, and I got shocked from what happened to us ... Actually I've been smoking too much , got antidepressants ,..etc , I've been checking the mails for the confirmation numbers every 10 mins , checking the dv site every 2 hours !! , why they are playing with our nerves ?? its better to kills us immediately rather than killing us slowly , actually I decided to STOP thinking about it , win or not , FCK IT !.
 
We don't have rights , we are just foods for them , they can eat , throw us away .
I hated their way of treating us , however , I did signed the petition and sent the letter to Mr White.
 
I feel you but do not get sick for that, it is just a country after all

People wrongly think that they will go to paradise if they win this lottery. You must have many qualifications to go there. It is not easy at all. It is very difficult to start a new life having nothing. Also, it is not easy to find a job. And without a job you are totally lost there. So, take it easy continue your life, do your best and you might win. Who knows? But do not think that the lottery is your life.
What if there were not a lottery like that? What would you do then? Probably you would continue your life and trying to improve it. You everyone have to make this question to yourselves. So stop believing that it is your last chance in your life etc... Because it's not true.
 
Ahmedragia l feel you man..Whether people agree or not ,the former winners will always be in pain and will undergo psychological trauma....Thats a fact.!
 
so how come i am totaly fine...?
are u so desperate to go to usa?

Jayo if you are not in that situation some people are.It may not be me or you but some people out there are very desperate.N not all people will understand what these people are goin thru after being let down by the computer error.Even if they try they will never understand.This is a lifetime opportunity that may never come again.So l wont blame you if you wont understand how they feel..
 
May or may not come back but depending on your country & region, chances vary a lot.. for the thread starter, I understand his frustration, losing 11 years in a row to finaly win then lose can be depressing... But you said former winner will undergo psychological trauma... far from the truth, some could, but most won't & there are other way of getting in the usa.. The lottery when you win is the quickest & easiest but there are still other ways... How do you think there are lot & lot of haitian in usa? & most of them are on green card despite many being illegal but in usa, even if you are illegal, if you do not do crime, you are safe

There is no point in arguing lm jus reading the posts and sympathising with these guys.N thats an attribute that some people dont have and will never have.
 
I am sympathising with him because I understand his bad luck, but i do not agree with the fact that you said all winner will undergo psychological trauma...
 
Dude what do you explain ahmedragia's reason for increased smoking habit,increased anxiety and taking antidepressants when he found out that the results were cancelled.Thats psychological trauma.Its just a technical term to explain increased stress and anxiety which a person finds hard to cope with.It doesnt mean a blow to the head or anythng...

Iren , I'm a very good software engineer and got interviewed by Google zurich , but because of visa issues , I couldn't get there ;( .
 
I don't care if randomly or not, fair or unfair, selected or not selected hehehe damn it guys, i will not burn my nerves for america hehehehe :D

Why didn't Google give you a work permit or something like that? That was a good chance...
 
They should convince the government that there is not someone like me in Switzerland :/ , to get a work permit is so hard.
That's why I'm so depressed , all my friends are no in microsoft and google usa , my dream was to get the green card so that I can work there ..
and now microsoft and google usa , doesn't hire anyone now from outside usa unless he has a work permit :(.
