I sent in my DV application - Then this ERROR!?! - After refreshing SUCCESS page

Hi!

I hope someone here can help me out with this!

I applied for the DV lottery 2025 yesterday. After I was done, I got the confirmation code and that my application was sent in with the confirmation message "SUCCESS". You can see it in the image I have attached down below.

I then accidentally hit the refresh button on my keyboard. And then I got the message:

Unexpected Page Request - There has been an error with your entry processing. Please be sure to NOT use your browser's BACK, FORWARD and RELOAD or REFRESH buttons in order to prevent this error. Only use the BACK buttons provided by this application. To resume your entry from the last known state please press "Resume Entry" button below. Thank you.

And I did so. I pressed "Resume Entry" and then I got this message:

The information submitted has not been accepted because it matches a previous entry in our records. Individuals may only submit one entry per DV period.
Duplicate entries will not be accepted.

What I wonder here is, did I mess up? Did my application fail, or did the system only block something in order to not fail? Because it seems that the system blocked another application being sent in, and that my application is still legit? Or am I wrong?

Because this bold text below, was the last message I got after I clicked on "Resume Entry". I really hope you are right!

The information submitted has not been accepted because it matches a previous entry in our records. Individuals may only submit one entry per DV period.
Duplicate entries will not be accepted.

Btw. I forgot to ask, now I don't really think you might really be able to answer this one... But do you think the chance of me getting rejected or if the system just rejected me already just because it maybe thought I was going to do a duplicate application, so do you think it threw away my first entry, because it might think I was going to do a duplicate you know, or do you think it understands that I refreshed or messed with the FORWARD and BACK buttons on my browser?

I've tried to contact KCC on their mail, but those working there only give answers per a form or so, they don't really answers people's question, even tho it is really people answering. Very weird.
 
You're stressing needlessly IMHO. It is a waste of time, that is why KCC will not respond, it is a lottery. Even if you did not experience accidentally refreshing the page, your selection is not guaranteed since this is just a lottery. Forget about this non-issue, which you're thinking maybe an issue and wait until the results get released in May 2024 to see if you are selected or not. I already explained the system prevented you from submitting what might have been a duplicate entry, that is all that matters.
 
Hello, I made the same mistake, please tell me if you were able to check your dv lottery status.

Well the post you quoted/the person you were asking is a DV2025 applicant like yourself. Anyway, all applicants should be able to check when the results get released in May.
 
This same happened to me and I stressed whole year, I got selected DV2025 eventually,I guess it's system preventing duplicates otherwise a lot of entries would get disqualified unreasonably

So this happened to you in Oct/Nov last year, i.e. 6-7 months ago, and yet you got selected? Is that what you are saying?
