My mom and I entered USA with B1 on August 2004. My cousins here are all US citizens but they don't know how to adjust our visa status. Therefore, we went to consult with a lawyer but in that time, I wasn't good at English enough to understand what they were saying.
What my aunt told me was that I don't have to worry about anything, just study hard in school (I was 15) so I studied in public high school even though I still had B1 but I thought that my aunt was working on it. My mom later said that she didn't want to stay so she went back before the visa expired but I didn't want to leave because I started to love my school so I overstayed but also because my aunt applied for a student visa for me but it was denied. My visa expired on Februry 2005 and now it's October 2005. What can I do to live legally here in USA? Can my aunt apply for green card for my mom and me? How long is it gonna take? I want to be a resident here but my aunt doesn't know anything about all these immigration stuffs. And I hate to tell people that I don't have social security or id card.
