austriacus, your wife is a Filipina? Where in the Philippines is your wife from? How long has she been living in the States?
Life here is a little more relaxed for most, but not for me (i have a high pressure job). I've been here for 19 years, there are many things I love about the Philippines (Cebu) but there are certain trade offs. Traffic is horrible and driving here is like a video game so you have to drive very defensively. Filipinos think very western now for the most part (which is a good thing) but I just miss living in the U.S.. I guess I've spent enough time here to finally say I want to experience life there again to be closer to my mother and sisters whom I rarely see now.
So what is life like in the Philippines?
