My Ex and I came to this country in 2011 and we returned back to our country. few years later I came back to the United states after our divorce. My Ex wife returned to the United states few years ago. I filed for asylum and still pending. after two years in the USA, My Ex-wife asked me to add her on my asylum application as derivative , though she suppose to be part of my story . We reconcile and I agreed to add her on my application as derivative and we lived together until we finally departed again. things are not really working together for us anymore. we're no longer living together anymore. I recently met a woman and I think I really want to marry her. since my ex-wife left . can I marry another woman ? Do I need to remove my Ex-wife's application on my asylum petition? my ex-wife and I didn't do anything legally in the United states. Except that I once added her on my pending asylum application as derivative.

NO! We didn't remarried. please do get my question right. this is very urgent and serious issue. Thank you.

You divorced in 2013, never remarried yet added your ex to your asylum petition??? You engaged in a fraudulent activity for immigration benefit, even if the suggestion to do so was originally by your ex.

This forum does not provide immigration guidance to people who fraudulently seek to obtain immigration benefits.

Noo! You're wrong Sm1sMom. I presume you're a Mother. You need to ask question before jumping into conclusion. No one is obtaining any benefit fraudulently. Don't be so quick to conclude on someone's case. You need to ask question. You just rushed and started typing through your>>>>>. I mean we didn't marry in the United states. Now , that you have it right you're free to add your comment.

Doesn't matter WHERE you married. If it is legal where you married, then you are married. So: are you married to your supposed ex wife, or not?
If not, what relationship did you state for her on your asylum application?

I said you remarried, you stated that you didn't remarry. So what relationship did you state to add your ex-wife as a derivative? If you legally married her anywhere in the world, that is remarriage.

OK, so to get this correct.

  1. You were married when you entered the USA in 2011
  2. You divorced in 2013
  3. You re-entered the USA around 2016/2017 and filed for asylum
  4. At some point you added your ex-wife on your asylum application, but lied saying she was your wife, thus committing immigration fraud.
  5. Now you want to get married to someone else, but inconveniently, cannot think how to explain to the government how you can remove your fraudulently added ex-wife from your case in order to marry this new person (who, presumably, needs immigration benefits too).
  6. Now you are here asking others for help and getting aggressive with everyone because they don't understand your self contradicting story.
Do I have that correct?

You can get as rude and aggressive as you want, it will not mask your fraudulent attempt at seeking an immigration benefit when you added your ex-wife, whom you did not remarry after your divorce in 2013, to an asylum petition filed long after the divorce.

Just so you know, subsequent rude posts from you will result in administrative actions being taken against you in this forum.
