I need help regarding renewing my EAD and Drivers license with case still pending

hello guys help me out with information i applied for asylum through Chicago office in February 2014 since then i was never called for interview in 0ctober 23rd 2014 i was issued with a EAD and i managed to get a DL and a job. with all that said 3 months ago i applied for renewal of my card which expires this month on 23rd and its still pending when i check the status on the website. Can i still renew my DL without a new Card and i still have the receipt number????
 
i don't think so , but you should call the DMV and ask or go in person . you may be qualified for "undocumented resident " driver license
