I Need Help From Any Gurus Who Can Help

I am here on an L1 visa. My L1 was valid until 06/24/01, when I filled to extend my l1 I sent in a I-539 which I found out was the wrong form.
I filed my I-140 my rd-09/06/00 pd 08/30/00 and my ND 08/29/01.
I filed my I485 12/06/01, I did my fingerprints in February 02.

What I want to know is what do I do about my L1 as it has expired. I have heard that even though I tryed to extend it I sent in the wrong form it is bad luck and I am now out of status.

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE DIRECT ME IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION, SO I DON\'T SCREW THINGS UP ANY FURTHER.i AM REALY WORIED ABOUT WHAT I HAVE DONE.
 
Depends on whether you have a EAD

If you had applied for an EAD and received it then you are not working w/o authorization. If you did not apply for your EAD and your L1 has expired then you are working w/o wuthorization though I would hesitate to say that you are out of status, your status is 485 peding and you are legally allowed to stay in the US till a decision has been made on yr case.

Anyways I feel that it should not matter as you are working w/o authorization after you have applied for 485. Just apply for an EAD and hope that you don\'t get an RFE.
