Hi all this is my first post and im happy to know that there is people out there willing to lend their time to help out people in my situation, well heres the thing I've been in this coutry that I call my home since i was 7 years old and im am going to turn 18 in a few months. I have been to two lawyers who pretty much told me I couldnt do anything, I been reading up on the Dream Act for the past year but there is little hope with that as i see
Well heres the thing my girlfriend knows about my status and wants to help me but as i am an "illegal" i've never had a visa...and that is why I fear that she cannot help me she is older then by a year so she tells me when I turn 18 she will marry me not only for a Green Card but out of love as well i dont really know where to turn for answers so i turn to you guys, will I have to return to my coutry if I marry my girlfriend and if i dont have to what are the steps i need to take to change my status - Thanks in advance...William
