I am married to a U.S citizen "my wife"and we've been married for more than 2 years, we have a 12 month daughter and I came with a visitor's visa 11 years ago. When I came I solicited a social security card and I obtained it... I've been working with it since I came to the U.S. I've work mostly in major banks as a loan officer

My wife is going to get my green card and we are ready to send all the forms and everything but we are wondering about the I-864 form, wich is for my wife to fill out but do I have to add my income there too, of course im going to say that I am working because I can't lie and it's my social security and I know that im not suppose to work but I am.

DO I have to fill out a special 864 form, or add myself in her income, she makes really good money too but I don't know if I am require to fill out something else or just say that I work if they ask me and take my income taxes in a seperate folder just in case they ask me to see them?

Please help :)

if her income is sufficient for the affidavit of support, you do not need a co-sponsor and you do not need to be your own co-sponsor.

if your wife meets the income requirements you do not have to add your income at all, she just has to fill out the i-864. however, at the interview, IF they ask you if you are working (or if you were working), then tell them you are.

if you got your social by the book and have nothing to hide, don't worry about it. we dealt with this before. did you give your real name and legal status and they still gave it to you? there won't be a problem. and if you aren't hiding anyhting you did with that social, you will be fine.

assuming is under your name, sooner or later immigration wil lfind out. and it actually helps you since it proves you can how long you been here and thta you can actually work.

Two opinions won't cut it for you. You have to view each input with its merit, because people can you advise, which turn out to be good or bad. First things first... : How did you get your social security? What does solicitation of a social security means?

In my view, if you are working now, on this social security card, but has no legal immigration basis to do this, I will cease working until I have my EAD card. Logic: you aren't authorized to be working in the US, so you continued working could be seen negatively. You came on a visitor's visa, I have no knowledge of any visitor being allowed to work after soliciting a ss card

In your I-864, I will advise you to use your "sponsor" income only, as long as it is far above the poverty line of $16,500. Don't bother infuriating USCIS about your current working condition, even though is forgiven by your marriage to a US citizen. You wife should complete the I-864 and be done with it... You income and tax returns could or should be taken to your AOS interview... :o

our friend probably has one of those not valid for work. social secuirty says they will tell dhs if they find people using them, but is probably low on their priotry list.
