its been 3months and i m stll waitin for that bullshit security check i dunno wat da heck is goin on plz let me know if some one has or had the same problem and how long does it take plz

u r waiting for 1 year for visitor visa for US? Which country you are from? Is it normal everywhere? I never heard security check and all which takes 1 year for visitor visa for US.
 
Got the Security Clearance

I got the security clearance back in September 2004. As a recap, i applied for the H-1 visa from the Toronto consulate on March 29th 2004. Since i am a citizen of Pakistan, a security clearance was required. I got the security clearance on 2nd Sept 2004 (after 5 months).
I think the main reason i was not getting the security clearance was that i did not report my departure.
Several agencies are involved in the security clearance procedure and Border and Customs is one of them.
I think they were holding up the clearance.
While i was stuck in Canada i accidently got the oppurtunity to report my departure to the US Borders and Customs authority. And within like 7 days i got the security clearance.
