Dear All,

I am so happy to tell you all that after a long wait,I just came back from a successful interview experience here in Nairobi.I just can't believe if it is true but for sure,I have to believe it is any way.

I have a long list of the names I want to thank for and for being part of my journey, particularly TAZAMANA AND IGMU . I will have to comeback and sit to widely type you the whole story and may be able to answer some of your questions.Until then, take a good care of your self.

Did you have to pay the interview fees at the embassy or did you have to deposit the fee at CBA?

I am just back ,

Well...here is the full story.

I received an email confirmation regarding my scheduled interview date from KCC and by this I had to stand for the interview on June 3rd at 8am.Just before the interview date, I also had to do my medicals. The cost for the medicals may fluctuate depending on where we are but as for me I had to pay nearly to $200USD and fortunately after a week, I took the results and all the outcomes were fine. Then the date arrived. June 3rd.I tried to show up as early as possible but the line of visa applicants was too long and made me to wait for over an hour. I made it any way to the main reception of the consular section and after sitting for few minutes I went to that particular reception window were all the required documents were surrendered. What I wanted to highlight in here is that I had felt that I carried incomplete documents. I knew I missed a crucial document but came in with other supporting supplimentaries. This was a high school document. I only had a yearly leaving certificate from my ex-high school .Those are the documents I supplied the receptionist at the window, although the lady at the reception accepted one of my documents as the proof of my high school completion, I still felt insecure about this issue .Any way,....I also surrendered my birth, police certificates along with my affidavit of support. Altogether with the high school supplementary, were what the receptionist required of me .The next move was to sign for a paper which tells that an applicant is not supplying fake documents and whatever amount paid for the application was not refundable (this was the $775USD).I signed and made my way to the cashier. With the copy of my receipt, I saw the receptionist again then she told me to sit and wait until my name is called. After over 45 minutes of waiting my name was called. The lady at the window number 10 was very charming and humble. After greeting me she asked me where the rest of my high school documents were and I told her the reasons what made me to only carry the other the document. I tried to convince her that I am a legitimate high school complete and currently enrolled in a University and already a second year student. But all what was required of me was that particular high school document. I wanted to bold in here that no matter what level of University student you are, all what the consul requires of you is the high school complete certificate. Although the lady sympathized with my execuses, she wouldn't do anything unless I secured the document (my high school transcript and the secondary education certificate. What the consular finally told me finally encouraged me and added more fuel for me to really work hard to secure the document. She said , “Visa is guaranteed if you get the document in June, not guaranteed in July and no visa at all if you exceed Sep 30” .Then luckily a friend with just the same case (DV case ) guided me what to do in order to secure that particular document. After a long and hustle waiting time, I finally managed to secure the document and the following day, I made my way to the consular section of the embassy .After a long of waiting time, my name was finally called in one of the windows and the consular in there thanked me for bringing all the required documents and that I am done with all what I was asked to bring. She told me the next move would be verification of my documents. This is what is so called ‘Administrative processing’. She asked me to check back in 3 weeks. This was the longest and the harshest waiting time because I have been in the mood of mixed up. Really hard to believe .The date arrived any way. July 8.After handing over my appointment paper to the receptionist, my name was called at window number 10.The humble lady met me twice in this process but at this level after greeting me she said, “ come on 22nd to pick your visa ” No more words. That was the end of the story. How exciting and amazing is it to finally see your prayers answered .Thank God.
As I mentioned earlier, I have a long list of the forum members to thank for. Overall I trust all have contributed their knowledge one way the other but my deep and sincere appreciation goes to, LUCYMO, IGMU,RAEKSVY,TAZAMANIA and NAKFA .
