I have no receipts as proof of paying tickets

Hi
I got three tickets all for speeding, the last one being almost 6 years back.all tickets are out of state. I wasn't thinking about citizenship etc and never kept the receipts. I don't think there is any way to get the receipts now online.I have gotten the tickets in NY near Buffallo,Delaware and Michigan.In my DMV record that I got from my PA state, it shows no offenses. Should I list these offenses and say I have no receipts.Can anyone advise please?

This in not an advice of what to do. It's only an example of what I've done in my case..
I got, over a 13 year period several tickets. (only speeding, seat belt, no "U" turn, the "usual" ones, NO DUI, reckless driving or something grave) In my N-400 I marked "NO" to arrest, detained, cited, etc. Not knowing at that time that traffic citations should be included. At the interview nobody asked me anything about traffic tickets. Unless you had DUI or worse, it shouldn't be an issue.

My advice:
The truth always prevails. Just list them and tell the truth to best of your recollection: You got them. You paid them. And if you're asked for receipts: Unfortunatelly it was such long time ago and you don't have any record of receipts.

do you remember which county did you get the ticket? or city name?

wherever you received the speeding ticket, the local county / police station has the info.

i got ticket from ATL (2) and CO (1). I did not keep any proof of payment or even the citation at all. However, I looked up the info on the net to locate the police station of where the incident occurred. I called them up, and they located my file. They sent me a copy of the citation, and the proof of payment (basically a print out to show zero balance due).

I have tickets from 1991, 1997 and 1999. The 91 ticket was in my home country. I contacted the courts for all 3 and got certified records. Whether I need them is another matter, but I answered Yes to Cited and I will have all the evidence I need to back me up.

They may ask you for the paperwork, and they may not accept "I don't have the receipts any more'

I don't have proof of payment in my case too. But I was reading on this forum about going to the court house to get it - I don't even know what the court house is? But now I'm confused. Should I go to this court house or the police station in the county where the citation was issued?

well, i would first go to the police station in the county where you got the citation from. they shall have your record. if they said they only keep records for x years, you would just have to tell the interview officer it

The police don't keep records in my state, because the police don't prosecute cases. The Court prosecutes the case.

You can get a driving abstract from the DMV/BMV, or (better) contact the police dept and ask them which court hears their tickets. Then call the court.

I was able to use the online public records on the court website to find one of my tickets...

i guess it is different from state to state.

I contacted the local county clerk in GA to get my tickets information. However, i contacted the police stateion in CO to get my other ticket information.
