2nd RFE rcvd by CIS: feb 6, 2004
Case transferred to local office in San Diego: feb 20, 2004
(this was due to CIS mistake, i am in denver; my lawyer is in SD)
Case transferred back to NSC: april 27, 2004
3rd RFE (for spouse): may 18, 2004
documents showing that our marital relationship continues to exist
3rd RFE rcvd by CIS: jun 9, 2004
approved (finally!!!): june 18, 2004
i contacted a senator in Oct 2003, and they were helpful. i got the 2nd FP, i think, due to their sending a request. Also, i got useful status information through their office. In late april, they informed me that our cases were back at NSC (after being mistakenly transferred to San Diego) and that our security checks have been completed.
Till summer last year, i wasn't too concerned and thought it will get approved sooner or later. Starting this year, i was more worried, esp since things kept going wrong.
it feels great to not to have to fear being laid off!!
