I got RFE - RD 1/28/02

Dear Gurus:
Today the online screen has changed and showing that a RFE has been issued yesterday. I am working for the same employer for a long time. Do you have any idea what could tigger an RFE. The only thing is I had changed address more than a year ago and followed all the necessary procedures to inform USCIS.

Also will the RFE be sent to my lawyer ro directly to me? Any response would be highly appreciated. Thanks.

No can predict USCIS.Atleast look at +ve side. Your case is touched. So after sending all doc. in timely manner. You would get approved within 3-4 months:D

No dengdeng I didn't even get any 2nd FP notice. First FP was done more than 17 months back.

Do you think lawyer will get a copy of RFE or it's just me. Thanks.

Your lawyer will recieve RFE notice. Issuing not issuing RFE will depend on immigration officer working on your case. There is no specified policy about why they issue these.

Good thing is atleast they touched your case. Since your fp is expired expect fp notice too.

Rd 01/17/02 - eac02-088-...online message was changed on oct 1st...very disappointed ...will wait for my attorney to let me know what additional information required....
 
So many reasons for RFE

Till they touch your case, they wouldn't have looked at most of the details. After looking at, they could issue RFE for so many reasons, like Medical, if the documents are not proper, etc., so even if you had the same employer, etc, there could be other reasons for RFE. Anyway, look at copies of documents that you sent with your application and see if everything is in order.
BTW, RFE will be sent to your lawyer.

FP Recd 05/22/02

Renwed EAD and AP last December (as was expiring in Feb 2003)

No FP2 notice

Issued RFE on 09/23/03
Lawyer recd on 10/01/03
Details of RFE:

Mine : 1 month PayStubs, Empl Letter with role, resp, date of hire, salary, intent of future empl etc etc, Last Year Tax return and W-2

Wife: Medical as she was pregnant when she did her first medical

Thanks for your information. I will wait for my lawyer to let me know what this RFE about. I guess my lawyer will send me a letter with a copy of the RFE when she will get that one. I will try to call her to get the information in advance so I can get prepared before she send me the actual RFE letter. As you said this RFE could be for anything. After RFE who knows they might ask about 2nd FP also. The process is going on, and on, and on ..............endless.:mad:

Thanks for your mail. I have strong feelings that my RFE might be very similar like yours. Though at this point I didn't hear anything about the reason for RFE, I will definitely try to get the information like yours.
If you don't mind could you please give me a template of your employment letter with role, resp, date of hire, salary, intent of future employment. You could take off all your personnal information and post the template. I would highly appreciate your effort. Thanks.

Lawyer gets the RFE..Keep things ready and reply ASAP and upon receiving I guess INS would find ur FP expired and send one..So do an early FP and count your days..!
