I just got my GC in the mail. It came as a great relief.

Now, I really feel approved. It is backdated (March, 2005)

Thanks to all of you. :)

Thanks Kelvin,

You should carry the GC with you all the time, that is the law. You will receive the welcome notice soon, and you will read that you have to carry it if you are 18 or older.

CONGRATS to your Dad, and good luck to you.

You don't have to carry your GC in your wallet really! There is no such a law.

What kind of name check? Does that apply for everybody?

Yes, when you got fingerprinted there is a name check. It takes more time for some people. But, I do not know wait.
