I got my case approved. My attorney received approval copies where I have not received.

Nobody contacted me from senator's office. But there is a fair chance it worked. Thanks.

But still my online status is not changed. When I talked to one IIO she told it is approved as on March 7th. But address was different against my name.

Now also, even though I am in NewYork, they ask me take the stamping on Connecticut!!

I am planning to go their and take it.

Best of luck for all who are waiting.
:)

I read your other posts .. After long struggle in contacting and communicating to the local senator (Hillary Clinton), you got an approval, i believe.

Congrats and Good luck Again

Hi!

My application was filed on 1st August 2001.
FP 13 th December 2001.

No queries. Just was lying dormant. Now also I did not receive my approval, but my attorney received her copy(as there was problem in address). I am in NewYork and they want me take stamping in Connecticut.

Any how the ordeal is over.

Thanks guys for your support. This forum is of great use.

Problem in stamping

Guys,

I went to connecticut as the approval notice said to adjudicate in Connecticut.(Even though I am a Newyork resident for past 4 years).

They refused to stamp my passport as I am NewYork resident and asked me to take stamping in NewYork it self.

Now my problem is, they may not allow me inside NewYork INS as the notice simply says about Connecticut. Also as it is attorney's copy, there is no mention of my Newyork address.

Do any of you know, how to go about this and get stamping in NewYork.

See my situaiton, I have a valid approval and have problems with my stamping.

Your help is appreciated.:(

Prasad,

Why have they asked you to stamp in connticut ? it may be mistake by INS, I guess call INS about it or just go to New York INS, I guess they will identify the error and stamp your passport.

I, myself never saw anything like this on this forum.

Prasad,
i have checked with my lawyer about this. She said no problem at all. So just go to the local INS near your place to get pp stamped.

People have done like this before. see the following link
