I got a notice from USCIS, Confusing!!!!!!

Last week I had an inforpass at Garden City for my I485 case, which is pending over 3 years, the Officer told me that my FingerPrint is expired and they were mailing me an Appointment Notice.

Today I got the notice, which saying" Case Type" is I765 and ask CODE 1 Fingerprint again.

Come on, my application for I765 (EAD card) was approved on last year. why they sent me this notice a year later after that approval? I have done for EAD fingerprint last year already and got approved.

Is that same thing Green card fingerprint update (second FP) requirement and EAD fingerprint requirement? all need is Code 1??

anyone experienced that second FP could tell me what exactly they want for a update I485 case finger print, if all are Code 1, then I don't have to ask them to resend a new notice to me about my 485 case.

Code 1 is for background check. I guess EAD is from code1.
Code 2 for plastic card and code 3 for both.

why they need code 1 again ? well, because it was expired.

i would make an infopass and see what is going on? maybe they forgot to put code 3. and also got confused with the I485. u should confirm before u submit ur fingerprints to avoid unnecessary delay.

that appointment is scheduled on 12/26/2008, I don't think i have time to do 1 more inforpass to confirm it..

is it possible to go to the fingerprint place to explain it them and ask something changed?

Im wondering what CODE number they want for second fingerprint regarding their I485 application, if same as EAD card which is CODE 1, then I don't bother to ask them send me a new one because they are sharing the same fingerprint database. Am I right?

i have done fingerprint for I 485 on 09/2005 after 3 months later I filed my AOS package, and I applied for EAD last year and got approved after I had my EAD fingerprint finished

Now they asked me do CODE1 again.
 
your code 1 fingerprint has been long expired(12 months, 15 months... I forgot). code 1 is mainly for FBI and once it's expired, they need new fingerptint. And i believe code1 FP is used for EAD too(i did only code 1 before getting EAD/AP/I485 aprpoved), but I'm not sure if you got only index finger or all the 10 fingers when you applied EAD.

FBI needs 10 fingers.

I guess I765 is typo for I485, but you need code 1 anyway.

I have not got FP letter. I wish I would have one in my mailbox tomorrow. Second FP seems that you will get GC very soon, at least proves that they are not sleeping on your case.
 
yup, at least they are doing something on your case, i will tell them to correct it when I do FP at their support center.

also I do believe that I485 case and I 765 case sharing the same Finger Print Card, which expires every 15 months. As long as u have updated Code 1, it's all good for I 485 and I 765.

Correct me if Im wrong.
