You wouldn't believe this...

So I went to see a lawyer about my I-485 and I-130 problem, she looked into it and did some family background check, she found out that my Biological father is an AMERICAN CITIZEN  I couldn't believe it. Just to let you know, we don't have a relationship but I have to get a copy of his birth Certificate and I am classified as an American Citizen because I was born between 1986 and 2000 as a rule states "If one of the child's parents is an american citizen and born outside the U.S., he is classified as an american Citizen". So I am eligible for a U.S. Passport (as the U.S. state department says). My mom found DNA Evidence and said he paid some child support when I was in High school...

I don't know what im more mad about, me spending $2000.00 on this or my mom not telling me lol. I can't believe it, I file for my U.S. Passport on monday with my lawyer. As soon as I get enough money i am going to file for Citizenship certificate.

I want to say thank you for everyone who helped me out, gave me lots of information :).

Talk about being lucky! Congrats! This goes to show everyone that you should never worry too much about problems because some get resolved by themselves. Enjoy your moment!

Thank you very much. I had to get in contact with my biologicial father which was pretty tough cause i had to do lots of research and im really glad he agreed to help submit documents to my lawyer.

Seriously its a tough battle and many of you are gonna be frustrated but DON'T GIVE UP!!!! you never know what magical thing can happen, ive debated many times to give up on this case but i stuck with my beliefs and even told the immigration officers that im not giving up as they even advise me to go back to Canada.

Best of luck to you all, hopefully I dont get any problems for my Certificate of citizenship but many lawyers told me once you get the passport its 90% certain.

You have DNA evidence. There's no way they can deny your certificate of citizenship. The law is set, they'll have to follow the law. :)
