How will they approve without the PD become current? What's your wife's birth country who got emails from CRIS on your wife's case? Since 485 process is based on birth country, and may be possible they can approve if their birth country is non-retrogressed.

I had a status enquiry message since June of this month. I placed another enquiry with the National some three/four weeks ago. Contrary to last time, I never got a message that the status enquiry has been responded to or something. I guess, this is it. I am expecting them to send me a letter now indicating that the status enquiry has been responded to blah blah blah..

I forgot to add this....This is indeed different from my status query initiation last time around. I dont think I noticed a mass update around that time.
It would be interesting to note what the respective 485 RD are for the groups that received this mass update (assuming all of them have their PDs current)

I am curious to see if the LUD will change again over the next few days. I am keeping my fingers crossed that this may be a sign of approval!

This is my interpretation about the mass LUD e-mails
If you place an inquiry and they respond, the online message change to: "On xxx we respond to your inquiry........". However, after this message the automated phone sytem will tell you that they can not find your case information. This is most likely due to the fact that they do not have automated recorded message for this type of online message. I guss they reverted all the online message so that their automated phone system can give you a message. I believe whomever received e-mails today somehow fall into this category.
So please do not gets your hopes up by assuming that there will be an approval in near future. Enjoy the Name Check Process.

Received three Emails just for my case. My wife didn't get any, but LUD has changed(10/28) for both of us with the below new message:

This is such a wonderful forum, thanks to users active inputs, we can usually pretty accuratly figure out what is going on inside USCIS.
In this case, unfortunately nothing significantly going on here, you can tell that they simply just updated their automated information system. Nothing!

On July 6, 2005, the document we made based on the approval or
registration of this case was mailed directly to the person to whom issued.
It used to be the old message before we made enquiry and after enquiry the message was different and it was dated July 2006 not july 2005.
