I filed 485 at TSC and after sometime they transfered it to Houston INS why?

There may be several reasons why your case may
be transferred from Service Center to local office.
Fingerprinting issues is one reason, random selection
is another. Although, if the service center adjudicator
feels that you need to be interviewed to check some
paperwork, that may also trigger a local transfer.
I think Houston has one of the worst processing times,
if your application falls into the family based immigration queue,
something like 1078 days.

Have you done any fingerprint and have you got EAD before your files are transfered? I talked to OII at TX center once and I was told NIW I-485 can be handled in the center or local office. can you tell me what is your RD date and when it was transfered? thanks.
