We went to local Office today for IEAD as our EAD card receipt RD was Nov 17th( more than 90 days). But the lady did not issue IEAD saying that our current EAD card hasnt expired yet. They will issue IEAD only when the current one expires.
Anyone else with this type of response? Does it vary on location of local office?

How will she excepts to come to local office once after it is expired ? Some people working at these local offices dont know what they talking about !!

I'm also planning to go to local INS (San Jose, CA) next week. My EAD expires in March. My RD for EAD is 11/07/2003.

My RD for EAD is Dec 30th, and the current one is expiring on March, 30th. My attorney says that I can visit local service center to ask a temporary EAD after 90 days passed.

Here is a appropriate regulation code for IEAD

Tell them that you r applying for IEAD pursuant to 8 C.F.R : 274a.13(a)(2)(d).

Try to find this on their web site and take its printout.

I think this rule is strange , not giving IEAD b4 the current one expires.

Philadelphia office is come under Deleware as for INS website.

These kind of Wierd rules and arguments are generated by Philly office only.
