I-ead At Newark Please Share Your Experiences

Hi Friends,

I applied for EAD on 2nd Jan '04
I am planning to go to Newark for I-EAD after 90 days.

In some Local offices I have seen they Issue interview date
at the time u apply for I-EAD.
What's a procedure in Newark Local office?

This is my experience at Newark -
[1] If you donot have appointment and expecting to get the iEAD same day, Go very early in the morning, as early as 5:30 AM and still you can see some people aleardy in line
[2] There will be a separate line for people who already have appointment.
[3] They take only 50 AP/I-Ead's applications per day and for the rest of them who are in line , they give appointment to come some other day.
[4] Take a copy of EAD application submitted to BCIS along with
EAD receipt notice, passport, I-485 receipt notice and I-140 approval copy.
[5] Takes away the whole day but again depends on the number of people

Is it open on Saturday?
Do I need to go to Broad Street or Commerce Street ?

I read somewhere on this forum that it is Broad Street we need to go to.

I am also looking for an answer if the office is open on Saturday, anybody?

If not planning to go on Monday as current EAD expires 03/29/04.

Will post my experiance.
 
I went to Newark on 2nd January. It was a smooth experience though it took about 5 hours after I got into the building. I went and stood in the line at around 6:00am. I was out by 1:00pm. They issued me iEAD for 8 months.

Within two weeks I got my one year EAD from VSC.
