I didnt receive FP notice, but my husband got his FP notice 20 days back.
Even my lawyer has not received my copy. What further steps should i take ??

Thanx for the reply. I am little worried bcos when i applied for
my I-485 i didnt have SSN(as its not issued for H4). So i filed it
without my SSN. Now i got my SSN after i showed my EAD. I just
wanted to know whether my SSN is the reason for pending of my
FP notice. How will the FBI clearence takes place without my SSN. Please help...
 
My wife and me are in the same situation ...

I got my FP notice towards the end of June. She hasn\'t got her\'s yet.
I think she too did not have a SSN number when we applied.

I am in the same boat too..

I got my FP notice and my wife (H-4 and no SSN) didn\'t. I am waiting too. But I thought I\'d add some more info on this. My wife called up the INS office to find out her FP status and the officer mentioned that it was still pending.. Wonder what this means : (
 
My lawyer called up NSC ...

last week (or may be the week before) & INS said that they would expedite her\'s. We still haven\'t received it.
 
Same thing with me.

Even i called up INS to find out about my FP status. I was told that my case is still pending. Couldn\'t make out what
actually they meant.
 
Opposite situation here...

I don\'t think SSN is the problem. My wife and I applied on 4/11/01 and although she didn\'t have an SSN (she has a Tax id), she received her FP notice while I haven\'t received mine yet. Go figure. I\'m waiting for mine.

thought INS Nebraska SC promised to send her\'s about a month back.

I had earlier posted that I got my FP notice while my wife (H-4) didn\'t. I have some news for all of you who are in a similar situation. We got another set of FP notices last Friday(08/24/2001) and this time both of us got it.

It looks like the INS is sending out another set of FP notices to people.
