I called USCIS and here is the story....

Today, I decided to call USCIS to find out what in the Pete's name going on in there.
First try, I kept selecting options and it took me to a message where they said that they are way too busy (sitting on their lazy asses) and that I should call on so and so day between so and so time. They thought they might get rid of me that way but uh uh. I redialed again and this time selected different options (1 for english and then 2, 2 and 2). After waiting for 44 minutes I finally got someone to talk to me who probably was bored just sitting or was taking a break from her nap.
Anyway, here is how it went,
P.M. I have sent my response to the RFI for my I-485 which was received by USCIS on 07/08/05. There were few other people I know who sent RFIs with the similar dates that I know and they have received I-797C. I'm wondering if it has something to do with my old address that I had on my I-485 when I filed it. Did my notice go there (I was really playing dumb here :) )
Customer Service Lady (CSL) What kind of application is it? is based on asylum, employment or family based?
P.M. Asylum.
Do you have your receipt number?
P.M. Yes, it is LIN0114050***
CSL. Did you send AR-11?
P.M. Yes, Ma'am.
CSL. Did you receive confirmation from USCIS of address update?
P.M. Yes, Ma'am.
CSL. Well, then address change is really not an issue here is it? I thought in mind (No Bitc*, I just used this excuse to get through) No, I didn't tell her that.
P.M. So could you please tell me when will I get this notice?
CSL. There are different officers working on different cases. The officer who is working on your case might be a really lazy SOB and didn't get to make a decision. Well, she skipped lazy SOB part :D . She told me to give them 90 days and check after 09/08/05 if I still don't hear anything by then. Then they can send an inquiry to Nebraska. Your FBI check might be pending.
P.M. No I chacked with FBI back in December and they told me that my FP results were sent back to USCIS on 08/18/04. The very next day.
P.M. OK then I guess I'll just have to wait and see then.
CSL. Yes, Is there anything I can do for you today?
P.M. Yeah, please bend over ;) Well, she didn't comply to that either :o Or she might have but I couldn't see that over the phone :p

I just read the last line :D HEY, maybe she did bend.. becuase she pulled it out and mailed it to you!! you will get it either today or tomorrow..!!

See, after MK received it I was anticipatiing sometimes between 20th and 24th...I got it today..yours should be here by tomorrow...Give me the good news..first thing ..as soon as you get it...even if it means calling me on the PH!!!

I got my mail for today and the damn Biometrics notice is still not here. Probably, I should just stop thinking about it, yeah right :mad:

Do a search on FP clearance or FBI or similar words in this web-site. This subject has been talked about a lot in other forums as well. As a matter of fact, I came across that number in one of the other threads.
