I called BCIS today

I finally got hold of a nice young lady today. From my observation, they knew nothing about your case, can't even see your name, your address, anything. They don't have special trainings at all. They probabaly work at home, and they are all women. Could be housewives telemarketing from home. They only take down your name, address, case number.Several ppl on this board haven't received any letters back, I would say it's possibly they mispelled your name or address. I would think if your name and address or birthday doens't match the case, VSC is not going to send you anything. Since foreign names are generally difficult to be spelled, and address could be lengthy and difficult to record down in the phone, very much likely you will not hear anything back. One thing you could do is let them repeat to you after they take down your name so on.

I asked the lady how can we get to Tier 2 phone representative. She said status inquiry is Tier 1,
if you're asking case status, she will not put you through to Tier 2. Maybe we need play some tricks to get to Tier 2, which possibly is old VSC
IIOs. They could be trimmed down after the service ended. Maybe you say sth complicated to perplex them, and you can get to Tier 2.

I asked the lady why someone never received inquiry letter. She said could be they asked status before 19 months, VSC is not going to send a letter if the case has not passed 19 months. But
we all know, they can eaily raise the 19 to 20.
How can you ever catch up with them!

The woman is funny. She said since today is your 19 months day, you very much likely to receive a mail today, have you checked your mail? Those IIOs are so stupid that they are cute sometimes.

Every think is Okay
but how did you figured out from telephone conversation that she was YOUNG ? :D:D

When I called BCIS for address change in end of May and asked about case status as well, I was told by IIO that today (that day when i called) BSIC is processing Dec 3 RD cases and my RD is 12/4 so it will be picked up tomorrow :) as if BCIS moves to next RD every day.

who believes them...???

Did you ask about 2nd FP Notice?

Deng Deng,
Did you ask the lady why you have yet to receive your 2nd FP notice. Like yourself, it's been over 16 months since my first FP, but I have yet to hear from BCIS.

What do you think of the new rumor that claims that FP's are now valid for 19 months?

RD 12/18/01
FP 03/07/02 (Boston, MA)
RFE Issued 06/13/03 (employment, tax returns, W-2 forms)
RFE Received 07/03/03

2nd FP?
AD ? (willing to act like a bookie, and take bets)

tick-tock, there's no use to ask them those questions. They don't know anything. They are not trained to answer these questions. They only
take down information.

Even the old VSC IIOs, they don't know why second FP notice is not issued and when.

The rumor is certainly rumor. You know those phone representative, they know nothing. FP expired about 15 months, that's for sure. They need pass a a law to change it.

DengDeng,

Even if you can reach their tier-2 level, it will be of no use. It seemed to me , The tier-2 level also donot know any thing about the case, except they can only see what is the last date on which some update has taken place on your case. But they donot see what is the update. Lasttime when I called & somehow managed to reach the t-2 level of BCIS customer service, she also noted down all my details and told me that I will get a letter from VSC on my case status within 4-6 weeks and offcourse she told me she could see some update has taken place on my file on Aug'2002 , but she does not know what is it for and rather she was aksing me whether I have done any change of address or anything in last Aug. This is what they are. She also said she is not the VSC IIO.

So, It's all the same, my Friend. All Hopeless people....Hopeless service.... Hopeless system.

I believe them. It is exactly what is going on. They processes Dec 3, but didn't complete Dec 3 and the following day they moved on to Dec 4, which was neither completed and so on......

I was wondering the same... Did you dare to ask the lady how old she is? :) :) :)

you can tell the girl is young, that's it. Why bother asking this non-immigration related questions.

Skaus2001, how did you manage to reach Tier 2.

Maybe VSC IIO is Tier 3.

Dengdeng

The Guy who attended my call first, he himself offered me to talk to their tier-2 level people, after I told him that My case has been more than 18 months, VSC is processing now the cases of Jan & Feb'2003, no online status updation after my 2nd FP etc etc ....
Then after few min wait, one lady talked to me from their T-2 and rest follows as I mentioned in my previous posting.

next time when people reach tier-2, ask to be transferred to tier-3 or tier-4,

seems we can have some fun out of this process.
