I asked Mr Khanna on Job Change Question today !!!!

Hi Guys.
If any of you were in the conference call today you may have heard my question. I asked Mr Khanna if I could change Job after 6 months. He told me that it is all a question of intent. He said that if the intent was to change the job before I got my 485 approved then that is not correct. However if my intent changed after 2 days then I wont be blamed.

I once again asked him, What happens if it is 6 months. He said that I should be absolutely fine. (hopefully I have remembered exactly what he told me :) )

It was a great idea to have the conference call and I want to convey my sincere thanks to Rajiv and his team for organizing it... I am gonna change the employer as my 6 months are up this month and I am getting sick of being paid peanuts....... :D :D

Thought I would share it with all my buddies...... :)

:rolleyes: By the way, I did not know that Mr. Khanna is available on a conference call. Would you post the link or the details about the conference call please?
 
Thats a question i had but then if we ask it ----- it will be a flame war i guess

Its a pain for me to stay with this body shop i know some people will teach morals but here is my senario. Got my own project but still have to leave 40% of the bill rate to the body shop. Having an offer from the Vendor directly (one of the big 3 consulting firms). :mad:

I guess i will wait the six months out. I have been in stress (no project no pay) for the last 4 years i guess 6 more months is not going to hurt.

The brighter side ----- Body Shop helped me get my GC :)

You would be lucky if the top 3 (I guess, EY, BAH,DT,PWC) will give you anywhere near 60% of your billing rate. (I used to work for one of those until just recently). Their billing rates are usually in the multiple of 3-10 times. Of course, you get other great benefits. :)

------ how do the USCIS check the Intent? how do they know what is in your mind 2 days before your I-485 approval or after 2 days ofI-485 approval??? they dont give you a psychological test before I-485 approval to check your Intent, it is state of mind at particular time and it is very difficult to know and if USCIS challange the intent it will not stand in court. how many have been denied citizenship if they changed emplouer after 2 days??

However if my intent changed after 2 days then I wont be blamed.
------ they can blame because you intended to work permanently with employer after I-485 approval, just changing after 2 days it simply means you used employer to get your GC and your ACTIONS speake for your intent in this situation
