Do you have the telephone numbers where you called? I called to Miami Asylum office where my interview was and I never did comunicate with anybody, I tried to call to the extension of the officer and only the voice mail....Thanks

Daniela!
i can fully understand what you feel and all your attempts trying to reach them overthere in miami. I have the same problem:nobody talking live, just voice mail.
Guys, please, anybody can share any actual phone number( or extension),like the director of the office or anybody... Thanks.
Daniela, keep in touch

my case was in a different asylum office, if that's the case, then you should go...but it;s very wierd that you couldn't reach anybody there.

Guacho.

I was out of status and I came back in 2 weeks after my interview to get my denial  However a friend of mine who applyed last year received the answer by mail but I am confident that he also received it much later than it should have been. If I remeber correctly it was 2-2.5 months after the interview; so I wouldn't worry too much but it's always worth to remind them. Good luck Daniela!

Just be patience

Hola Danny,
Based in my own experience, I think everything is ok on time. I'm living in Orlando too and I did my interview in Miami. They supose to gave you aletter with the info you received by the Immigration Officer (IO). Just call the USCIS office in Miami to know what is the best day to ask about your case (I think is only Monday and Wed after 1:30 pm) and do the trip. They are going to serch you in database and gentle give you an answer (I'm sure "in process, still pending"). remember Miami is one of the busiest offices in the country. I well know is a dessesperate situation but is real world and you have to live with it. Check my dates and you will see my waiting too.
Good luck to you.

Thans for your answer, I will go to miami very soon, but your assylum is approved? or you still are waiting for the answer, because I think I need to have a lot of patience..... :(

I had my interview for political asylum the las january 09. The officer told me that I receive my answer by mail address in two weeks after my interview. I have 65 days waiting for my answer and I didn't receive any answer yet. Is normal this process? My I-94 expired 20 days ago and I don't know what can I do now. I sent a letter 1 month ago and I didn't receive anything. I read in the internet (immigration webpage) that there are 2 ways to know the decision, writing or going to the asylum office. I am thinking to go to the asylum office the next week and pick up my decision there but I am afraid because I don't know If I need to be more patience or they can denied my case, but they said the is normal if I go. Plese help me, I don't want to do anything wrong!!!! Thanks very much!!!
I think it is normal some people get decision in 2 weeks ,3 month up to 1 year .It depends form your officers organization of his duties. so dont worry just wait .you will get your decision soon.
